Members of the Kaushik Lab, Moore Lab, and other researchers from Memorial University joined community members at this year’s St. John’s-Mount Pearl MS Walk, held at the Reid Community Centre in Mount Pearl.
The MS Walk is a national MS Canada event that brings together communities across the country to raise awareness and funds for people affected by multiple sclerosis. This year’s walk formed part of a Canada-wide effort across more than 50 locations, supporting programs, services, and research that help improve the lives of Canadians living with MS.
For our research teams, the event was an important opportunity to connect science with community. As researchers studying neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, and multiple sclerosis, participating in the MS Walk reflects our commitment not only to advancing laboratory-based research, but also to standing with the people and families directly impacted by MS.
The Kaushik Lab is proud to have walked alongside colleagues, trainees, community members, and MS supporters in this meaningful event. Together, we continue to support awareness, research, and hope for a future with better outcomes for people living with multiple sclerosis.
