The Kaushik Lab is proud to congratulate Mohammadamin “Amin” Sadeghdoust on successfully graduating with his Master’s degree from Memorial University.
Amin’s graduate journey was marked by hard work, persistence, and strong scientific commitment. In his own words, “this was a heavy Master’s” — a fitting reflection of the depth, intensity, and impact of the work he carried out during his time in the lab.
His research contributed to the Kaushik Lab’s ongoing work on multiple sclerosis, demyelination, remyelination, and microglial immunometabolism. His project was connected to the lab’s use of the LPC/lysolecithin model of de- and remyelination, which helps us study localized myelin damage in the central nervous system and better understand how microglial activation and metabolism contribute to neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, and repair.
Amin’s dedication, curiosity, and perseverance have been an important part of the lab’s mission to identify new therapeutic targets for progressive multiple sclerosis and related neuroinflammatory conditions.
We warmly congratulate Amin on this major achievement and wish him continued success in the next stage of his scientific and professional journey.
